Character Story

Backstory
Hassan is of arabic extraction. He was taken as a slave when he was youngish (7-8) and eventually ended up working in House Tytalus as a basic grog. He showed aptitude and a good alignment with the House (he was a big believer in fighting for what is yours, didn't put up with shit from other grogs) and so got additional training and eventually worked into the position of Custos within the House, being a bodyguard to one of the magi. Recently said magi was killed (in spinoff from the conflict in House Merinita; killed by faeries while Hassan was not with him). Others in the House thought Hassan and a bag of gold (or maybe vis?) would be a good thank-you gift to the magi of Calor Novus (particularly Sylvie) for having brought their sodali back out of faerie (and having kept him from doing himself harm in the forest of eyes).

Hassan speaks little, is short when he does, and is ugly as original sin (not from scarring or being disfigured; just from being put together badly). He is triangle shaped (big shoulders, tiny waist), quiet, and is good at travel (he can make camp, hunt, cook, entertain himself, and knows the outdoors pretty well). He is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, and is not shy about sneaking around and "punking" enemies if need be.

He speaks Arabic fluently, and has a smattering of other languages (Frankish, Occitan, Catalan, Latin) and it is my thought that improving his communications skills will be the first things he does (particularly with off seasons). I will update his starting season/year to reflect his introduction (purportedly to be in Hugh's game).
